The Pancretan Association of America is a non-profit organization, formed in 1929, dedicated to the cultivation and preservation of the rich cultural heritage of Crete and the empowerment of its members to become effective and responsible citizens. The PAA has, for over 80 years, developed and supported numerous philanthropic initiatives throughout Crete, Greece, and America.
THE PAA MCV
The PAA Minoan Cultural Village, Inc., a Greek Corporation, will be the host facility for cultural and educational programs sponsored by the PAA-MVI. The PAA-MVI Board, with the consent of the PAA President, appointed the interim board of PAA-MCV. Once operational, the Board of Directors will be selected by the stockholders.
Saint Elefterios Church
The Saint Elefterios Greek Orthodox Church in Atsipopoulo, Rethymnon, Crete donated 7.5 acres of land to the PAA to build a cultural and educational center.
The University of Crete
The University of Crete in Rethymnon will be a key educational resource in developing and conducting the PAA Minoan Village cultural and educational programs.
The Hellenic Ministry of Economic Development
Approved a grant for 34% of the total project construction and furnishings for the PAA-MCV facility at Atsipopoulo.
